Carey's Kitchen
While it's not huge, I really like my kitchen. In contrast to most other kitchens I've seen in Indonesia, this one is clean, cockroach free, and not too hot.
The bigass freezer in the center of the picture to the left holds tons of frozen food of unknown origin. Popular theory holds that it's food stored up in case of a revolution. Whatever the case may be, it's a nice freezer to store dead student's bodies in (I could easily fit in three 7th graders), and it makes a nice counter too.
I've got a water filter thing (near the window) which provides potable water on tap. Nice feature.
Walking in and looking to the right You see my stylish gas range, complete with 50s "New Look" colors. Works pretty well---I have yet to burn off all my facial or arm hair.
Turning again displays my most prized culinary tool---the Korean microwave. Complete with factory presets for cooking many savory asian delights. I mostly use it to reheat my Domino's pizza or boil water for a Cup o' Noodles.
And the mighty 5 foot refridgerator is more than adequate to store fruits and drinks and leftover Thai food.
