Columbus Health Department
240 S. Parsons Avenue, Olde Towne East
Columbus, Ohio

The Columbus Health Department moved into the building at 240 S. Parsons Avenue in December of 2001.

The building was completed in 1874 as the Ohio Asylum for the Blind, and most recently housed the Ohio Highway Patrol headquarters.

Extensive renovation was necessary to preserve the building, and a new primary entrance and parking garage were added to the back of the building.

The top floors remain unfinished, waiting on occupants and money for the city to undertake their completion.
