The
dropoff dilemma
The
dropoff location was not open until Monday, and was located in an
open and not great part of town. I didn't want the truck parked on
the street at the house until Monday. Budget would not transfer to
allow another location to accept the truck. We could try the airport,
but they might charge a hefty fee.
After
much contemplation, we took the truck to the airport. They did not
charge a fee.

The
midnight cleaning
Carried
the bookshelf to the basement. Swept the floors (for the first time
in how long?). The ceiling fan blew up. Out. Popped the light bulbs,
started smoking. We called the fire department. They said replace
the fixture. Better than replacing the ceiling or the house.

The
midnight move
Got
home from the deadline day at 10, David got home around midnight.
We dismantled his bed and carried it to the basement. The mattress
barely made it; the bed springs were beyond my willingness to attempt.
They stayed in the room. The desk moved across the hall.

Lilly pads. Goodale Park pond. On the way to check
out some Short North shops -- that didn't have what I was looking
