Student play at Watterson

Pumpkin cranberry bread
Very enticing

Just one last plant ...
Gave up and potted and brought in the third basil plant. I hadn't ever expected it to last this long outdoors; now it will have a chance to last much longer indoors. (Considering the low lights available to it, maybe not -- but there is now the possibility).

ABOVE New uniforms. Well, since 1990, anyway. I guess that's to be expected.

Winter closes in
The Cuban oregano succumbed to the cold last night, though the African blue basil is still thriving. The low for this weekend is supposed to be 21F -- that should end it for the season.

Endless Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Finished watching the movie.

ABOVE AND BELOW Not everything looks winterish yet. The wisteria leaves have only just begun to turn, and some Chinese forget-me-nots are just coming into bloom below the African blue basil, still unaffected by the looming frosts.

Tortilla soup
Apple crisp, homemade crusty mustard focaccia bread.

A wonderful November dinner -- I love tortilla soup.

ABOVE Sweet Italian Basil. Potted and brought into the kitchen.

Brought in the last of the plants
Hard frost expected no later than Monday night, though the weather this weekend was quite balmy.

Transplanted both the sweet Italian basil and the purple ruffles basil -- we'll se if either one can hold its own inside and give us some fresh spice this winter.

Walk to the Deaf School park
Football game in progress at the park. The goldfish had been disappeared from the pond.

Look ye saints
The sight is glorious. Sang the choir.

Loud, bold, very minor in key.

All Saints Day.
Pastor Wolfe preaching.
