Decorating the church for Christmas. We never did
find the gold tree skirts. From left, Tiffany (behind candle) and
Andy Schworm (on ladder), and Jim Wise. We hang the ornaments on the
assembled trees, and then Andy picks up the tree and places it in
its proper stand on the table. Luckily the ornaments are light. And
not particularly fragile.

Dodley preaching. She entered perhaps halfway through the prelude,
which did not cease, and waited patiently for it to end. She said,
"Welcome, ..." and was interrupted by the bells.
The
acolytes were Jarrod and Jarrod. It always amazes me that Jarrod has
not yet set the church afire -- he does not have any sense of balance.
He only tripped once today. The other Jarrod was to light the Advent
wreath. Impatient perhaps for Christmas, he seemed intent on lighting
All of the candles on the wreath. In the end, the fourth Sunday remained
unlit, though the Christmas candle burned throughtout the service.
The
sermon was on joy. With a visual -- the dishwashing detergent -- All
You Need is a Drop.
