The wave
petunias in the
hanging baskets are beginning to open and bloom. Back garden.
Quick
gardening
Divided a fern (and moved half behind the pond), moved some
coreopsis from the path to the front of the house, did the same
with a couple clumps of rose campion, moved some sweet woodruff
behind the pond.
The
buttercups are starting to bloom, the peonies are close to opening,
the coreopsis has buds, the poppies are gorgeous.
Long,
slow house cleaning
Not sure the much was ever accomplished.

The Japanese
iris in bloom.
The yellow one (the only non-white one remaining) left almost
two weeks go by after the others had begun to bloom before it
opened.
Lindey's
Mahi mahi and crab cakes. House salad & lobster and shrimp
bisque. And creme brulee.
Unpleasant
days at work continue
I hate conflicts and still don't deal with them well.

AND BELOW Amy's
tree. The sweetest-smelling
tree that she would love to take home. This one is at Capital,
in front of Kern. If only I knew what they are -- to me the
leaves resemble most a sage plant.
Amy
mentioned that they are possibly Linden trees
-- but I think that is more likely what we have in front of
our house.
Choir
rehearsal
Quick -- down to only two songs to rehearse.
Short
walk
Through Capital University after a stop at Graeter's.

What a
glorious thing one's
own poppy can be.
And
not just one -- but two!

Lunch
in Bexley after church
Took Charlie along, but not Atticus.
And
then we came home, and somehow got in a bad mood and didn't
recover until Monday.
Praise
the Lord, Alleluia
Sang the choir
Written
for a college a capella choir, we figured that the composer
assumed they would have to learn the difficult interludes and
thus he could get away with them. It was a good piece.
