We
had 6 trick-or-treaters. Not a whole lot of activity on this
street.
How
do you get a mouse away from a cat?
Atticus
caught a mouse in the house. With a little bit of assistance
-- he needed to have the mouse's hiding place lifted so he could
get to it.
He
then proceeded to play with it. He would carry it to the middle
of the room, set it down, and pounce on it when it moved. Unfortunately,
it sometimes moved too fast and he had to go chasing it behind
furniture.
How
do you get a mouse away from a cat?
Finally,
on one of the mouse's forays, I managed to pop a showbox over
the mouse, a book on the shoebox, carried Atticus kicking and
screaming upstairs to his room, and disposed of the mouse properly.
Atticus
came back looking furiously for his favorite new toy, and finally
lay down on the floor in the very spot the shoebox had covered.

Amy
was not excited by the opportunity. I took some of the time
to wander OSU, inspired by a Dispatch "story" (pictures,
mainly), on the beauty of college campuses wreathed in autumn
colors.

Though
the homily was support of allowing married priests, so there
was at least a little reform-mindedness in evidence.
